CCF&G is proud to have supported the NRA's Women on Target® program since 2006 where women can try their hand at Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun in a friendly, supportive environment. Our programs have been wildly successful in the past and we are happy to be able to offer these programs again in 2011! PHASE I June 4, 2011, the Phase I Women on Target clinic is designed for women who have never shot a firearm before or who have very limited experience. Women will be able to try their hand at .22 cal Pistol and .22 cal Rifle and Trap. This morning session includes: lunch, refreshments, eye and ear protection, loaner firearms, ammunition and personal instruction by outstanding volunteers. PHASE II September 17, 2011, CCF&G will again offer the Women on Target® - Phase II Clinic. You may register for this clinic only if you have taken any of our previous Women on Target clinics! The Phase II will allow the women to focus in on their favorite discipline: either Pistol, Rifle or Shotgun. Women will be exposed to different calibers of pistols as well as revolvers and automatic handguns. For the Rifle clinic, women will be exposed to a heavier caliber rifle in different stances to prepare you for hunting season. With Trap, Women will be taught trap at the regulation 16 yard line with the trap oscillating vs. stationary as is done in Phase I. You will also shoot from all five stations with your own personal instructor. We will have special pre-shooting instruction - with a focus on stance, trigger control, breathing and of course, safety! Space is limited, however. There is a 10 women limit per discipline (30 women in total) and will only be offered for a morning session. We suggest that you sign up early for this special Women on Target® Clinic! Again, the minimum age requirement is 16 years, but 15 year olds may participate if a parent or guardian is present. Remember, you must have attended a previous Women on Target® - Phase I clinic. CCF&G will supply the eye and ear protection, all firearms, ammunition, refreshments and a light breakfast. All of this at the amazingly low cost of $40.00. We will apply the entire $40 registration fee towards membership at CCF&G if you join that day. If you know of someone who would like to participate or if you have questions about the WOT® program, use the the contact information below: Laurel Csenge OR Sandy Tatham
